How Do I Delete Personal Data or Close My Account?
Because our system automatically removes PII to anonymize submissions, postings on our site are not legally considered personal data. Therefore, there is no need—nor an ongoing legal right—to erase de-identified content. Furthermore, our platform does not support the bulk deletion of user posts.
Wait, don't you have to delete everything by law? No. Data privacy laws (like the EU's GDPR or California's CCPA) only apply to "personal data"—meaning Personally Identifiable Information (PII). They do not require the deletion of general, anonymized content.
However, you may request to close your account or ask us to remove any specific personal data we still hold (for instance, if personal information accidentally bypassed our filters). Please understand that this process is strictly for removing identifying information; it will not result in your actual prayer requests or posts being deleted from the site.
To submit a request:
-
Download, print, and complete the PDF below.
-
Create a new support ticket and upload the completed form.
We will respond within one month of receiving your written request, or within one month of receiving any additional information we might need from you to process it. The details you supply on this form are used exclusively to locate the personal data you are asking us to erase.
